Benefits of Membership
Building an expansive network of business contacts in the industry is critical for success. Every connection is an opportunity to grow in the industry, whether you are in school and looking for a path forward or an established company with innovative new technology. The Ohio Aerospace Institute offers events throughout the year to hear from speakers and meet peers from around the country. Membership to Ohio Aerospace Institute provides all this and more. Connect to industry giants, government resources, and members of higher education to discover where the industry is going. Speak with the people in the aerospace sector to hear about what the next horizon is for the industry and how you can position your business to benefit.
The Aerospace Corporation was pleased to join Ohio Aerospace Institute as a member in 2017, viewing its Ohio Aerospace Institute membership as a key element in its strategy to establish a presence ‘on the ground’ in Northeast Ohio, expand its portfolio of work in support of NASA Glenn, and build partnerships with Ohio research universities and aerospace industry.

Message from the Director
DEAR MEMBER & PERSPECTIVE MEMBER:
As we move into 2020, I am excited to update you on what we have planned for membership. My name is Kimberly (Kim) Holizna, I am new to Ohio Aerospace Institute. However, some of you may already know me from having attended various events I have hosted over the years in the Aerospace Sector and other topics relating to global compliance, as well as my knowledge in the Aerospace areas with regards to global development. I am the Director of Global Development and Membership for the organization. I will be working to be sure we are offering the best opportunities possible for members.
I have spoken to companies in Aerospace Sector and there are several other areas that we are told would be useful to companies as they look to expand and increase their sales and market presence and understanding of the Aerospace sector. As a result, in addition to some of the benefits in the past, the Ohio Aerospace Institute will be offering additional opportunities to members.
I will also be visiting each company to better understand their needs and offer assistance in the area of development, compliance and global development.
We will continue to offer programs and educational programs for companies. We will add more on compliance in Aerospace and Defense with access to legal assistance at a reduced cost as well as answers to basic legal questions. We will also offer webinars on important topics relating to Aerospace and Defense as well as other issues critical to overall business development and compliance, including updates on the latest tariff rules and requirements updates on NAFTA and how Brexit could affect the USA.
Our efforts as an organization include offering more opportunities to connect with other members and aerospace companies, both domestically and globally. There will be regular supplier summits, helping connect businesses to other Ohio Aerospace Institute members and local companies. We provide other chances to connect with leading researchers and manufacturers on a national and global scale.
It is critical to stay up to date with government compliance. The experienced members of the Ohio Aerospace Insitute offer training and updates on standards and certifications for Aerospace and Defense. Ones that are required to keep companies compliant. Opportunities for grant funding exist to offset the costs required to become certified.
Participation in trade missions and shows related to aerospace globally is key to growth in this sector. We offer programs that allow you to attend events like this at reduced costs through available grants. The ability to connect with other aerospace organizations is augmented through the reciprocal relationships Ohio Aerospace Institute has in place.
Access to data and information relevant to the Aerospace and Defense Sectors, including standards needed to conduct business, is accessible to our members through our partnerships with academic institutions and research labs around the world.
I appreciate your input and support of the organization as we move forward.
