BIOCENE Event Explores the “Transformation of Transportation” through Biomimicry
(Cleveland, OH, April 25, 2022) – The Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), together with its subsidiary Great Lakes Biomimicry, announced today the return of BIOCENE. The conference focuses on biomimicry, which accelerates innovation based on bio-inspired solutions already tried and tested in nature. The theme for this year’s BIOCENE, “Transformation of Transportation,” will explore the future of transportation – from materials to process design to space exploration/understanding – using biomimetic principles.
BIOCENE is held May 18, 19, and 20th at OAI headquarters in Cleveland, OH. The event is also offered virtually for those who cannot attend in-person.
“Looking through a biomimetic lens can accelerate progress toward solving complex problems while creating an evolved economy that supports ecological, economic, and societal health,” said John Sankovic, President and CEO of OAI. “In its sixth year, BIOCENE is an important event for businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits looking to create sustainable solutions to transportation-related issues.”
Attendees also include researchers, academics, students and K-12 teachers interested in biomimicry innovation.
