Transformation of Transportation

May 18, 19, & 20, 2022
Ohio Aerospace Institute
Cleveland, Ohio

Event Details

Biocene is a conference where ideas and research on innovation inspired by nature – biomimicry – are shared, connections are made, and opportunities for collaboration are fostered.

Join in-person at the Ohio Aerospace Institute or virtually.

Topics that will be explored

  • Emerging biomimetic materials and processes that can be used to transform transportation
  • Elevating our expectations of transportation to ensure it is more equitable and environmentally regenerative
  • Cultivating the mindset needed for innovation in transportation

When

Wednesday, May 18, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with reception at OAI
Thursday, May 19, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with trip to Akron Zoo and reception
Friday, May 20, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

At Biocene – transportation will be explored at many scales – from materials to design to space exploration/understanding. Ecological sustainability, equity, access, and climate are central foci. Because the exploration of transportation will be so broad, this conference will be of great interest to a variety of organizations, not just those directly involved the traditional transportation industry. The combined presentations will weave an interesting and useful tapestry of where opportunities lie.
