Dennis Andersh
President

Dennis Andersh has served as the President of the Ohio Aerospace Institute since November 2024. In 2023, the Ohio Aerospace Institute became wholly affiliated with Parallax Advanced Research. Since October 2020, Mr. Andersh has also served as the CEO and President of Parallax, an independent non-profit research organization, also headquartered in Ohio. Mr. Andersh is focused on expanding partnerships between academia, government, and industry through the affiliated organizations of OAI and Parallax. With more than 30 years of documented leadership, management, and technical innovative successes, Mr. Andersh’s expertise lies in basic research; laboratory research and development (R&D); system concept development; system and platform development; and the fielding of air, ground, and space mission-critical systems. He is highly respected for building collaborative partnerships of academia, industry, government, commercial, congressional, and local entities to create strategic growth across multiple new markets in the federal, state, and local government. Before coming to OAI and Parallax, Mr. Andersh held several leadership positions at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). He led the Dayton region as Senior Vice President where he was responsible for SAIC’s business with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Springfield Air National Guard, and the Dayton region.
With more than 20 years of documented leadership, management, and technical innovative successes, Mr. Andersh’s expertise lies in basic research, laboratory research and development (R&D), system concept development, system and platform development, and the fielding of air, ground and space mission critical systems. He is highly respected for building collaborative partnerships of academia, industry, government, commercial, congressional, and local entities to create strategic growth across multiple new markets in the federal, state, and local government.
Before coming to Parallax, Mr. Andersh held several leadership positions at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). He led the Dayton region as Senior Vice President where he was responsible for SAIC’s business with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Springfield Air National Guard, and the Dayton region. In this role, he increased revenue at the Dayton operation by 20 percent year-over-year and grew the employee base from 235 to 450. His other previous SAIC roles included reconnaissance and surveillance operation Senior Vice President in Arlington, Va., and Vice President and Associate Operations Manager in Champaign Illinois.
Mr. Andersh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is also an accomplished researcher, winning multiple awards from the Air Force when he directed radar research programs for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). In his spare time, Mr. Andersh has been a major supporter of STEM programs throughout the Dayton region.
